Porches!

Completed Front Porch for House 1

The end of the front porches is in sight:  One front porch totally done, one well along, another not quite so far along but also within finishing distance.

 All three front porch ceiling/roofs are done, and the lattice and brick is applied as well. House 2 needs steps, another column and its porch swing, House 3 needs all its steps, columns, railings and its porch swing.  That's all! It should go fast and the porches should be wrapped up tomorrow.

Three front porches, three stages of progress.

One mildly aggravating factor is that, just about every time I turn around, I find one more detail I'd planned to include that I've omitted. Today's discovery/recollection was that, in my original design/intent, both the base of the porch and the roof had fascia board all around. It looks a ton better with it, so today that got added, even after I'd thought the porch for House 1 was completed. It looks a lot better with that finishing touch, but stopping to apply that on all three did mean that today didn't see the porches completed as I 'd hoped.




After the front porches are done all that remains is to build the ice porches (small), light/assemble Houses 2 and 3, make the sunrooms and do the landscaping! Woo hoo!
